Shopify has introduced an intuitive feature to enhance your customer's shopping experience. With the new 'Language Redirection' setting in Markets, your store can now automatically guide visitors to translated versions of your storefront, matching their browser language.
This means that if you've got French translations of your site and a customer from Canada with French set as their browser's primary language visits, they'll be sent to your French site automatically — a great way to provide a welcoming, localised experience for your international customers.
Global selling just got smarter. The Duties and Import Taxes feature now incorporates preferential trade agreements, making international transactions smoother and more cost-effective.
If your products qualify under agreements like the USMCA, your customers will enjoy reduced duty rates at checkout. This update is a great opportunity for merchants looking to expand their international footprint while offering more competitive pricing to global shoppers.
The product insights beta has been retired from Analytics, but a new and improved product conversion reporting experience is on the horizon for later this year.
In the meantime, you can still gain valuable insights from existing reports like 'Sales by product' and directly on product detail pages. It's a temporary shift, but one that promises even better tools for understanding your product performance soon.
Shopify Collective will automate the supplier order cancellation action if the order meets the below criteria:
This enhancement streamlines the order management process, improving efficiency and providing a smoother experience for retailers and suppliers on Shopify Collective.
In April 2023, Shopify released a feature to allow Plus merchants to provision POS access in their Organization Settings. This eliminated the need for provisioning individual users at the shop level and waiting for their account activation
In October 2023, the platform reduced the permissions required for the initial POS login, but this was not yet available for Plus Roles, and had to be assigned at each shop level for each individual user.
With this latest release, Shopify has added the ability to grant the login permission in the Organization Settings, allowing for bulk assignment via Plus Roles, and removing the need to manage at the shop user level.
The market selector for draft orders has been updated to a pricing selector, allowing you to change the pricing and presentment currency for orders.
It’s important to note that changing the pricing using the pricing selector will not affect the merchant of record, product restrictions, available shipping rates, or the payment gateway used, as these factors are dependent on the shipping address.
