Oct 16: Shop Pay now redirects to the post-purchase page on the merchant's domain.
To ensure correct tracking of conversion events, Shop Pay will now redirect to the post-purchase page on the merchant's domain instead of shop.app. This change ensures consistent post-purchase conversion tracking and cookie access for all payment methods.
We say: After a sale, your shoppers will now be redirected back to your store and presented with the post-purchase page (as opposed to remaining within shop.app). This is a welcome development that enables consistent post-purchase conversion tracking and cookie access for all payment methods. The change also gives merchants a new opportunity to upsell products or set up a post purchase survey.
