Joe is an entrepreneur, advisor and investor in the FMCG space. He has worked on some of the best scale-up brands of the last 15 years including the likes of Vita Coco, Graze and Tenzing. In 2016 he co-founded Ugly Drinks, a true challenger brand in the drinks space, growing it in the UK and US and bringing on ABInBev as a strategic investor, before exiting the business in 2020. He went onto work with fast-growth consumer brands including the likes of GRIND and Papier in a consultancy capacity.
Courtney is part of the Early-Stage team at Active Partners where she invests in mission-driven consumer brands, technologies, and the platforms powering their success. She is particularly interested in sustainability, food & beverage and shifts in consumer behaviour, and has led Active's investments into Our Ritual, Coopah and All Things Butter. Courtney joined the early-stage investment team at Active Partners full-time in June 2023 after graduating with an MBA from London Business School. Prior to moving to London, she lived and worked in New York City where she was a consultant on the consumer team at Accenture Strategy.
