Aiming to share their passion for photography, House of Spoils launched a newsletter that would lead the founders towards a category-defining, ready-to-hang DTC brand. With success came copycats, brands that tried to imitate and compete for market share. Wanting to push back and assert their place as the original and the best, the team needed an ambitious, feature-rich, high-function Shopify Plus experience.

Framing photography, literally and figuratively, the experience celebrates the work of the world’s best artists, establishing House of Spoils as the destination of choice and helping the brand build a market-leading roster.

For the shopper, the UX prioritises discovery. Surfacing a wide range of subjects and styles, and supporting design choices with diptych and triptych guidance, along with in-room AR viewing.

A/B testing was utilised to understand how best to present complex elements, reducing friction and improving conversion.
