    What Sage does

The Sage Group is a FTSE-listed British company that provides finance, HR and payroll software for small and mid-sized businesses and accountants. In January 2022 it bought Brightpearl, a retail operating system used by Shopify merchants, which had itself bought the forecasting tool Inventory Planner in 2021.

    Our Sage work

Suki Tea moved from Magento to Shopify with Superco. As part of the project we integrated its Sage system with Shopify, and the store went live in time for the November sale. Read the Suki Tea case study.

Integration work with Sage follows the same pattern as our other ERP integrations: agree which system owns each piece of data, map products, customers, orders and stock, then test the sync before launch.

Which Sage product should a Shopify brand use?

It depends on what you need. Brightpearl suits retailers who want orders, stock and fulfilllment in one system. Sage Intacct and Sage 200 suit businesses whose finance team already runs on them. Inventory Planner sits alongside either for forecasting.
