Shopify ERP integration

We connect Shopify and Shopify Plus to the systems you run your business on: ERP, warehouse, accounting, wholesale and order management.

Integrations

Decide which system owns each piece of data before you choose a connector.

Products, stock, prices, customers and orders each need one owner, and a clear rule for how often they sync. Use a native connector or an integration partner where one exists, and build custom only where it does not.

Test with real orders, returns and stock movements before launch. Most integration problems show up in refunds, partial shipments and stock that moves in two places at once.

Integration options

Native connector or app

Fits when your system has a maintained Shopify app. Watch for limits on custom fields and sync timing.

Integration partner

Fits complex set-ups or several systems, as with High Cohesion for Tileflair. Agree ongoing fees and who supports what.

Custom integration

Fits when no suitable connector exists, or the logic is unusual, as with Powder’s MarketTime connector. It needs documentation and an owner after launch.

How we run an integration

01 Audit

We list every existing connection and data flow, and the gaps.

02 Design

We agree which system owns which data, how often each syncs, and a system diagram with each owner.

03 Build

A connector, an integration partner or custom code, whichever fits.

04 Test

Orders, refunds, stock and prices, with real scenarios, load tests for busy periods and user acceptance testing.

05 Launch and hypercare

We switch the integrations on with the store and monitor closely in the first weeks.

Results

What connected systems changed.

Tileflair: Kerridge ERP connected to Shopify Plus through High Cohesion, so online and showroom customers can be tracked together.

Represent: the site works with NetSuite and Zedonk for stock, product and production data.

Powder: US wholesale orders placed in MarketTime arrive in Shopify through a custom connector.

Sanne: moved off Odoo to Shopify Plus, with products, customers and orders carried over.

Suki Tea and Funkin Cocktails: Sage and ERP integrations as part of their moves from Magento.

‘Since we launched the new platform, the team are able to get through a lot more work in a given week. It’s so much easier to manage our product catalogue.’

Use a maintained connector or an integration partner where one fits. Build custom only where none exists or your logic is unusual, and make sure someone owns it after launch.

Yes. We built a custom connector between MarketTime and Shopify so Powder’s US wholesale orders arrive in its store.

Yes. We rebuild or reconnect each integration as part of the move, as we did for Suki Tea and Funkin Cocktails. See Shopify migration.
